Moffat Fund deadline tomorrow

With the deadline at 2 p.m. tomorrow, local groups and service clubs aimed at helping youths and families are reminded to get their applications in for a portion of the Moffat Family Fund.
Town administrative assistant Lori Pattison said this morning that only four applications have been turned in so far, but added there’s a good chance more will come in at the last minute tomorrow.

For the 11th-straight year, the Town of Fort Frances will be receiving money from the Moffat Family Fund to distribute to local groups and service clubs with the aim of helping youth and families.
This year, they’ll get $37,500 to allocate to worthwhile causes.
Individuals and organizations can submit requests for a portion of that funding, along with supporting rationale.
Information packages are available at the Civic Centre or by calling 274-5323.
As noted, applications have to be submitted by tomorrow (March 22) at 2 p.m.
The local Moffat Family Fund committee then will meet to review the applications and decide which recipients get what.
Those selections then will be forwarded to the Winnipeg Foundation for final approval.
Recipients likely will receive their share of the $37,500 in late spring/early summer.
