Muskie boys advance

The Muskie boys’ hockey team will be gunning for their seventh-straight NorWOSSA title this week.
The black-and-gold advanced to the league final by blanking the Kenora Broncos 4-0 in their one-game semi-final clash here Saturday night.

After Dylan Curtis wired a shot past Broncos’ goalie Jordan Spencer late in the first period, Muskie netminder Ryan Ferguson made a number of big saves in the second period to keep his team in front.
Fort High then broke the game wide-open in the third period on goals by Graeme Kitt, Chase Ferguson, and Nolan Vold.
The Muskies now are preparing for a two-game, total-goal series against the St. Thomas Aquinas Saints (Kenora), with the opening game set to take place tomorrow night in Kenora tomorrow.
The series finale then is set for this Friday (March 1) at 7:15 p.m. at the Ice For Kids Arena here.
