Lakers earn road victory

Tyler Brodersen and Mason Meyer led the Lakers with a goal and an assist each while Merritt Rysavy, Davis Smith, and Patrick Sofer also scored.
Kyle Fink and Nolan Holcombe replied for the Iron Rangers.
The Lakers next face the Ice Dogs tomorrow night in Dryden—the first of a three-game stretch between the two squads.
The teams then will square off at the Ice For Kids Arena this Friday and again next Tuesday, with both games starting at 7:30 p.m.

A four-goal outburst in the first period proved propelled the Fort Frances Lakers to a 5-2 win over the Minnesota Iron Rangers on Friday night in Hoyt Lakes.
It was the squad’s third-straight win and allowed the Lakers (28-15-1-2) to open up a four-point gap over the third-place Dryden Ice Dogs in the race for second place in the SIJHL.
