Faragher wins honour again

For the second time this season, St. Cloud State Huskies’ goalie Ryan Faragher nabbed the WCHA’s defensive player-of-the-week honours.
The 22-year-old Fort Frances native, in his sophomore season with the Huskies, earned a pair of home victories over Denver last weekend.

Faragher made 23 saves in the Huskies’ 5-2 win over the Pioneers on Friday night.
He followed that up 24 hours later by turning aside 26 shots in a 5-1 triumph.
Faragher has posted a 13-8-0 record and a 2.29 GAA for the Huskies so far this season.
He previously won the defensive player-of-the-week award in late November following a weekend split against the Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs.
The Huskies, ranked 15th in the latest USA Today Division I men’s poll, are back in action this weekend when they visit Grand Forks to take on fifth-ranked North Dakota.
