Heading to Ottawa

Spreading the message of “Idle No More,” Turtle Sounds trekked along Highway 11 and then through Couchiching FN on Thursday afternoon. He stopped in the community, where he was presented with a flag that he’ll take with him to Ottawa. Turtle Sounds, who received plenty of support from local residents, started at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights in Winnipeg earlier this month. He is walking to Ottawa for the “Idle No More” Global Day of Action slated for Jan. 28.
