Sending a message

Spreading the message of “Idle No More,” Turtle Sounds walked down Highway 11 through Couchiching FN yesterday. He stopped in the community, where he was presented with a flag that he’ll take with him to Ottawa. Turtle Sounds, who stayed overnight and continued his trek toward Thunder Bay this morning, started at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights in Winnipeg last week. He is walking to Ottawa for the “Idle No More” Global Day of Action slated for Jan. 28.
