Grade 1 students Kiera Fairnington, left, and Mackenzie Hammond were busy doing “buddy reading” first thing this morning in Tracy Lewis-Tucker’s class at J.W. Walker School. After a two-week Christmas break, students across the district headed back to class today amid continued uncertainty stemming from the current teachers’ dispute with the provincial government.
