Court teams open play
Thursday, 6 December 2012 - 2:23pm
The junior boys’ basketball team was the only one to suffer a setback in Kenora, falling 57-43.
All four teams currently are slated to resume league play next Tuesday in Dryden.
But the status of those games remains in limbo due to the latest work-to-rule edict from the Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation (OSSTF) that’s set to take effect on Monday.
Prior to that, however, two of the Muskie squads are scheduled to take part in tournaments this weekend.
The junior boys will host a six-team tournament at Fort High starting tomorrow, with their opening contest slated for 1:30 p.m. against the St. Thomas Aquinas Saints (Kenora).
The senior spikers, meanwhile, will head to Dryden for a two-day tournament that also starts tomorrow.
