Candle causes house fire here

Fort Frances Fire and Rescue Service responded to a single-room blaze at a residence on the 1000 block of York Avenue on Friday night.
The fire department was called to the home at 9:30 p.m. and found a fire had started in a bedroom after a candle had been left unattended.

The fire was contained to the bedroom, but that room did suffer extensive damage.
The family was home at the time of the fire and safely exited the building.
The smoke alarms in the home were in working order, the fire department said.
