University goalie slashed by skate
Monday, 1 December 2008 - 3:19pm
The 21-year-old suffered a severed vein in his neck when he was clipped by a skate during a goalmouth scramble in the third period.
The Badgers say Jory is in full recovery after undergoing surgery, and will return to St. Catharines in a few days.
The Canadian Hockey League requires players to wear neck guards, but Canadian Interuniversity Sport does not have a similar requirement.
