After the unveiling ceremony was completed Friday morning, many in the large crowd stood under the pavilion to get a closer look at the long-awaited monument commemorating the 17 lives lost to the Dance Fire, which occured on Thanksgiving Day back in 1938. The unveiling was held 70 years to the day of the tragic blaze.
