Teen severely mauled by grizzly

ANCHORAGE, Alaska—A teenage girl taking part in a 24-hour bike race in Alaska has been severely injured in a grizzly bear attack.
Police in Anchorage say the girl was riding early yesterday on a park trail when attacked.

She used her cellphone to call 911 but was unable to communicate.
Another biker found the mauled girl around 1:30 a.m. and called police.
Medics were escorted by officers with shotguns into the dark woods to retrieve her.
